


All natural and eco-friendly, Nirvaan Organic Farms are spread with 17 acres of organically grown Alphonso Mango Trees near Kanakapura, Bangalore. The tree saplings have been hand-picked and sourced directly from Ratnagiri, Maharashtra. The plantations in Ratnagiri produce the best and most expensive variety of Alphonso.
The nutrient rich soil, supplemented by latent warmth of the Granite rich sub soil in our farms near Kanakapura, Bangalore, sourced directly from the lakes nearby, has been re-tilled to provide for fertile ingredients using only organic fertilizers, herbs, all-natural ingredients from Neem, Jaggery, Sugarcane, Chilly, etc. There are more than 1,300 trees that have been painstakingly cared for over the years for healthy growth.
The farm uses drip & micro-sprinkler irrigation and rainwater harvesting techniques to ensure water availability directly to the roots of the trees, 365 days per year. Manure from local cows and goats, fed with organic soya bean and grass grown on the farm, is used to enrich the soil.
The final taste of mangoes is incomparable with the ones available in the retail outlets, most of which have been ripened artificially using Calcium Carbide or Ethylene, a cancer-causing substance.

The mangoes are hand-picked from the trees, washed individually in hot and cold water, cleaned and dried naturally, inspected, and natu- rally ripened in rice hay and jute cloth. There are no chemicals or artificially made products used for growth or ripening of these mangoes.

Though in rare cases, but at times, fruits that look perfectly good from outside, may be bad or rotten from inside.
Understandably, this is the work of nature and not a man-made product and we cannot, in spite our best efforts, say for sure what is inside the fruit.
However, the inside of the organic mango will show richness in colour, taste, flavour, substance, and health benefits that will not be found in the inside of a chemically ripened mango. Organic raw mangoes are laid on specially prepared hay-stacks for them to mature in a natural manner.
As the fruit matures, it starts exuding a sweet aroma & turns from green to a golden green. It is at this time when we pack the mangoes for shipment. When you feel its softness after gently pressing it and if the mango smells sweet at the top, then they are said to be ready to eat.
A mango does not necessary turn completely yellow during the maturing process; it might look semi-green with dark spots since it has undergone a natural process of ripening.
Most mangoes sold in the retail market have a uniform colour that is yellowish-orange on the outside, artificially ripened via chemicals (fake ripening).
Since we firmly avoid any chemicals, organic mangoes will exhibit external greenish-yellow colour that is all natural, with some dark spots, especially on the top part of the mango.
